Disputes & litigation

Handle a dispute from the first letter to the judgment. We assess the case, organize the evidence, negotiate a settlement where it makes sense, and represent you in court when it does not.

Scope & fees

Most of a dispute is decided before the hearing.

Facts, documents and deadlines decide most disputes, and they are cheapest to sort out early. We do the assessment, the chronology and the correspondence, and the same team that prepared the case argues it in court.

What we work on.

Case assessment

Assess the claims, defenses, evidence and the realistic outcomes.

Evidence & chronology

Preserve and organize the documents, build the chronology and prepare for discovery where it applies.

Correspondence

Prepare demand letters, responses and settlement proposals.

Mediation & conciliation

Prepare for mediation, conciliation proceedings and settlement talks.

Submissions

Draft and file pleadings, statements of claim, responses and appeals.

Court representation

Represent you at hearings and see the case through to judgment or settlement.

How the work unfolds.

  1. Assess

Review the facts, documents and deadlines.

  2. Decide the strategy

Agree whether to settle, defend or pursue the claim.

  3. Prepare

    Draft the correspondence and submissions.

  4. Resolve

Close the matter by settlement or see it through to judgment.

We identify the deadlines at the start. Procedural deadlines decide the schedule, so send the matter as soon as a dispute becomes likely.

Scope agreed.
Fees made clear.

A fixed fee for the assessment, then a fixed quote for each stage, including the hearing. We never bill by the hour.

What shapes the fee

  • Amount in dispute and complexity
  • Volume of documents
  • Number of stages required

Budgeted separately

Court fees, cost securities, expert fees and e-discovery vendors are budgeted separately.
