Protection strategy
Map the product, intended markets and commercial aims to the relevant patent, design and confidentiality workstreams.
Plan protection before your invention or design reaches the market. We connect ownership, confidentiality and commercial strategy with the specialist filing work your product needs.
Scope & feesTechnical development, investor discussions and a launch rarely follow the same timetable. Protection decisions need to connect them. We help the team identify the creators, document the rights and organize the legal work, with patent attorneys responsible for the technical assessment and prosecution within their mandate.

Review employment, contractor and collaboration arrangements and prepare the assignments or consents needed.
Organize the legal project alongside patent attorneys handling searches, technical claims and prosecution.
Coordinate the applicant, representations, filing scope and disclosure history for the agreed design-registration project.
Set out ownership, access to results, confidentiality and responsibilities in research and product collaborations.
Connect maintenance responsibilities and filing decisions to transfers, licensing and future transaction requirements.
Describe the product, creators, target markets and disclosure timetable.
Coordinate specialist input on the protection routes and resolve ownership questions.
Align legal documents, representations and specialist applications with the launch plan.
Allocate renewals and connect the rights to commercial agreements and portfolio decisions.
Disclosure and priority deadlines shape the initial plan. Filing preparation, office examination and international stages have different timelines, which we coordinate with the responsible specialists. Swiss patent-procedure changes taking effect on January 1, 2027, also require attention to the applicable transitional rules.
We scope the ownership and commercial legal work separately from technical patent work. The proposal records the intended rights, territories and coordination responsibilities, with each specialist’s role and budget made clear.
Patent-attorney fees, technical searches, official filing and maintenance fees, translations and foreign counsel costs are separate from our legal fee.
