Swiss regulatory assessment

Know which permissions your business needs before investing in the application. We examine the activities, contracts and movement of assets, then set out the regulatory route and the decisions that come next.

Start with the activity.

A business description rarely answers the licensing question on its own. A platform may introduce clients, execute transactions or control their assets; each model raises different issues. We work through the actual service and document the assumptions behind our conclusions. The assessment gives founders, management and investors a common basis for deciding what to build and what to budget.

What we work on.

Business-model review

Trace the customer journey, contracts, decision-making powers and asset flows, including the roles of group companies and providers.

Regulatory analysis

Consider the relevant licensing and AML requirements and identify where further facts or authority clarification are needed.

Written assessment

Receive the conclusions, supporting reasoning, assumptions and unresolved questions in a document your team can use.

Implementation plan

Translate the assessment into workstreams for the entity, people, capital, policies and any required applications.

How the work unfolds.

  1. Describe

Collect the product outline, draft contracts and a diagram of who receives and controls assets.

  2. Challenge

Work through the uncertain features with the commercial and technical teams.

  3. Conclude

Prepare the written assessment, including limits and matters requiring clarification.

  4. Plan

Agree which application or operational changes should follow and who will own them.

We agree a delivery date once the key facts are available. Alternative business models and inquiries to authorities add separate stages to the timetable.

Scope agreed.
Fees made clear.

We scope the assessment as a defined project, with a fixed fee or fee range agreed before work begins. A review of one settled model differs from comparing several proposed structures.

What shapes the fee

  • Number of activities and entities
  • Quality of the available documents
  • Cross-border questions and authority inquiries

Budgeted separately

Implementation, license applications and advice on additional jurisdictions are identified separately in the proposal.
